shitter stu

i was gonna say maybe its worth investing in some trade plates but then again all the cars SHOULD be taxed if in use anyway, maybe its something that needs to be added to the appropriate paperwork in the small print?

Thats shit news I know you always check for tax - but one is always gonna sneak through.

Why was the car clamped? Do all untaxed cars get clamped now?

Yeah, youve probably seen me do it Rick, but this fooker looked fine and i was allready stressed by teh pinchbolt id snapped in this upright earlier, so i was in a hurry to get the saff dealt with

Yeah, anything with no tax is now clamped on teh spot round here. Ł88 for some tax and Ł200 to get her unclamped before you can pass go

Not to mention the Ł120 if its not done before 3pm and they have to take it to teh pound.. thats an extra Ł120

Makes the Ł88 for 6mths tax seem pretty cheap.. roflol twats

Now, back to drilling bolts out of shitters.. what a day

Never needed trade plates Billy so never even looked into them as the vehicles we work on are supposed to be roadworthy and cherished since we pretty much only do performance enhancement work. We dont do repairs, welding, that sort of thing.

May have to look into a set now

It might be worth your while looking into them stu. I don't think they are that expensive anyway. What if some one dropped off their pride and joy track car to you on the back of a trailer and asked you to do a live map? anyway i'm sure you don't need to hear this shit i'm sure your having a bad enough day as it is. only one thing for it, plenty of alcohol

Stu, prob too late by now ... and completely off topic, but, I found cobalt drill bits (available from screwfix direct) go through most metals like butter, certainly better than any HSS bits I've ever tried.
They're not cheap, but well worth it for those jobs IMO.

If it didn't help today, it may help another day

yeah clare trade plates are a years tax as a mate of mine had a set for his business

be warned though there not to be used as normal tax disc as in used on everyday cars, the old bil can confiscate and report ya then ya gotta ask dvla for em back

ok my mates case he did deserve it as his missus was using em for her car over the winter

he got em back though

We use trade plates, iirc you've got to prove that you buy/sell so many cars... or at least give the beloved DVLA an estimate.
