Noticed my 3dr is getting a couple of cracks on the inner wings both sides...i assume this is the perils of running hard suspension and a proper strut brace ...Plates are gonna be welded to strenthen.

I remember advising people taht if you run coil overs front and rear you need to strengthen it all up but of course i was talking bollocks Take heed before the cracks to to rust and you ahve to sell it to a breaker for cheap money cause its rotted out!

3dr's suffer from major chassis flex

Agreed the strut brace has been fitted a bit too late Phil , its supposed to have a brace fitted before the inner wings crack , youll need to put the car on a jig and have the front straightened , thats what Brooklyn told me when I had my first 3 door and the wings had gone

 

It hasnt split down the A piller aswel has it?

 

It hasnt actually cracked the metal!Only the paint!!!!!

But carry on and it will!!!

So the brace has caught it in time will be strengthened all the same.

One thing i can say it aint a monte thrashed motor you can tell...its the hard suspension that fooks em!..So Ryan go back in your hole with YOUR theories !

first sign is usually a small dent on the top edge of the wing, level with the strut turret

 

seen plenty of shells fooked through using coil overs without strengthening them first.

You fitted that wing properly that was tacked on last time i saw that car Phil?
From what i remember that car had seen a fair bit of action which as well as what Ryan said probably was responsible for the cracking!

 

to clarify...its only cracked the paint!......but will be strenghthed now i can see what happens.

Hope she was thrashed thats what a cossies for Drives fookin mint for it though...even if every part is gonna be changed
