Default Cossie cooling fans switch

what would cause the cooling fans switch to keep burning out after a couple of months have changed it about 6 times now and it's either the switch thats burned inside or the whole connector and the switch!

ps: the fuse in the fuse box had melted b4 so have run it separately from the battery with an in line fuse to the switch and it's still the same after a couple of weeks/months come out to hear the fans running for NO reason.

If you are not using a relay, you will be cooking the switch.

You gotta love Tiff's AutoCAD diagram!

Default fans

Tiff, it's wired just like that BUT with an inline fuse(30amp)and has a relay and like I said they last for about a month or so and will then need replacing spent about £100 so far on fan switches over the last 2 yrs

I think I best have another look @ the wiring on mine then(I never actually done it myself)

it does go to show why pay money when you can do it yourself
