Whats the difference and how can i tell?

Depends if the beam is complete.
i know that either the 2wd diff or the 4wd diff, one is 7 inch and one is 7 i/2 inch wide.
then the 4wd have vented discs on the back, 2wd have solids.
think the beams are the same tbh.

upper diff mounting spacing is 7" on 4x4 and 7.5" on 2wd... you can use a 2wd beam with a 4x4 diff as long as you use a suitable spacer.

is this the same for a 9inch motorsport diff ? as that would mean it needs its own rear beam to upgrade ?
