Default cumbria show

well, heres my sixpenneth worth, sorry but the show was 5hit, boring as fuk, track shows ARE the way forward, there was nowt to do AT ALL!!!, you walk round the 'SHOW ' twice by 10.30 and then what??? you have to stay till 4.30 for prizegiving, what the fuk are you supposed to do for the other 6 hours???traders and stands were cack,4 traders selling tat, only decent traders was gms and lee at fusion, you have to walk round and round and round and round again and again looking at the same cars you seen the week before, there was a format for the shows which since the trackskows(santa/croft/beds/knockhill etc etc ) have appeared has imo showed the weakness's in these type of shows, they are boring. i for one wont be going to any more of these types of shows, they are not worth the petrol money, in effect i payed £60 to go to that show, i can think of a hundred things i would rather buy with sixty quid instead of walking round shows like this.rant over!!!

am i alone in thinking this???

at this point i would like to congratulate all the guys and girls who have gone into the trackshows, you lot are the future and make it worth goin to shows

it depends what you want in a show, if thats your thing then it was ok, but i feel the scene has changed big time and i find these shows crap now, i go to a show to be entertained and look at stuff, not see the same cars that i saw a week ago and nothing else apart from a bunch of rusty bits and nowt else. these shows need to be better imo.

fair comment but at least you have choices. compared to over here where there are relatively few shows in the year & not much on the track front either

Just got back from Cumbria. I personally thought it was a decent day. We only had a couple of passing showers. I see your point mate regarding track shows, but in reality not every regonal day can be held at a circuit. Dont forget that all of these shows are privately funded and organised by voulenteers. The whole idea of a regional day is that it is held in that clubs region. True, it can get a bit boring at times and there was a serious lack of traders there, but lets not be too harsh on the organisors.

lightwater valley was the shits last year, tbh most regional days are shit. Same cars different shows. The full rsoc sceen is getting boring imo, i will only be doing the local regional days and the big track days.

not the weather that im complaining about, that just compounded the problem, i think the shows THAT DONT CATCH UP WILL DIE A DEATH TBH, THERE WASNT AS MANY CARS IN THE CAR PARK AS THERE was last year (bastad caps!!!) im not meaning to have a go at the organisers at all , its just the general feeling i have and i spoke to a lot of people who felt exactly the same, and hey if you dont know threes a prob, ya cant fix it can ya

I think the best show was Croft lastyear, plenty of good trade stands and a full days track action, the burgers were cheaper too!

Croft is a good show and only 15 mins away, national day is good, ford fair was good last time i went (3 years ago) but should make it this year. The rsoc needs to get its arse in gear and sort its shit out, otherwise they will either get new members then loose them after a year or loose original members all together. Plus some people take it far to seriously it supposed to be fun but gets very political

I HATE static shows and cant belive people bother to put them on or bother to attend, boring as fuck.

Its like cruises, lame as fuck and bored in 15mins unless theres some action.

Dont understand the appeal myself

With the up and coming drifting, i think that these types of events will take over, and the static shows will die a death in deffo the next 5 years.

Liverpool is an overnight crossing for us on the way over but a daytime return which is piss boring. scotlands probably quicker in the long run. Is that your regional show / track day. how many cars usually attend & whats the crack like the night before?

stranraer is about 3 hours only to croft
m6, a66 - darlington and you are there

now do you think the proposal at the agm is still a bad idea ?????

more big shows with attractions, less smaller shows ??

static shows are exactly that, they still are a get together though, not everyones a hoon like you

get booking for croft and knockhill
