Forgive my ignorance but can anyone give me the correct details of the injectors used in this kit , or is there loads of different types ?? Been offered a spanking set by a very reputable member off this board and dont wish to make a cock up !!
regards

Fuel injectors use the fuel for lubrication/cooling iirc, ideally you nead a gas injector for non fluid/gas/air applications.

That code IS a Volvo application (2.4L turbo) fuel injector.

Tony, there was a post a while back regarding air injectors and the merits of using fuel injectors etc. but without the search working, could take some time to find.

Stu & Mike R also do air injectors afaik, so may be able to help??

Tony,

Wightout aka Darren has a set, or Stu @ MSD can supply you with the correct air injectors.

If your car is already mapped for air-air then your replacement inj's need to be of the same flow rate or your map may need tweaking I believe....again, Mike or Stu could probably confirm.

Correct. Otherwise boost pressures could be well out as the actuator will be seeing a different amount of air than on the old injectors.

Chances are, the fuel injectors will over heat and stick if used as air to air. Stuck open and there will be little boost. Stuck closed and there will be unlimited boost.

The 785 or the 842? Double check with Stu or Mike, they'll know for sure, although I don't doubt Phil's Bosch part no. knowledge.

LMAO

Well I guess if people are going to use fuel injectors for air-air applications, some will attempt to use gas injectors for fuel (not directed at anyone on here, Gareth will know what I'm on about)
