Default Starter Motor Problem or is it?

Car wouldnt start last night so we bump startd it and got it going! Let it tickover for a bit with the odd rev but then I put the lights on to drive and it died

Is this more than the starter motor?

AA came out and said it was alternator, starter motor and battery all could do with replacing! Gonna try and book it in for Tuesday to get all new / refurbed items and get all the problems on the bastard sorted once and for all!

get it started and check the voltage across the battery , it should be about 14.4V, if much lower then alternator is fooked, then check battery with the engine stopped after at least a 15 minute drive, obviously should be about 12V, should tell you which one is at fault, forget the starter motor that wont work if either of the other two are playin up.

I had a problem with my voltage (wouldn't go above 12.5v) and it turned out to be the starter cos of the wires running across it from the alternator (I also fooked 2 alternators this way)
