White one looks really nice
Reminds me of about 8-10 years ago, when tidy and modded 4i's were a common sight
But the engine in the grey one is better

Hi Jimbo the white 4i has more bottem end grunt upto about 2750rpm and is quicker around town and easy to drive quick without trying, can also treat like a auto.
The grey 4i will kill the white one once on a roll.

bortaf,
sorry do not remember you but you are correct. Before the 2 XR4is i had 2 Mk5 cortinas. A red 4 door which was fitted with the cossie turbo and a 2dr which had the 24v in.
The red one was redsigned in August 2000 ie crashed. All running gear was then transferd into the Peppermint Green 2dr. Some pepole might remember it being in the 1st Performance Ford thrash.
0-60 in5.64 0-100 in 13.2 Top Speed of 146.7mph
All this on yellows and a t3.
Does any body else remember these cars as were both mag featured same as both 4is???

Forgot to say 2dr died of tin worm, thats why engine now in Grey 4i. Engine was rebuilt before fitting to 4i. Cortina scraped in summer of 2002.

Welcome to PF. Think the nearest PF meet is at Southend, but trust me, it is well worth the journey
