sell or break???
Got a big dilemma.
Just bought £1,300 worth of stuff for the S2 (Pace ally radiator, custom purple boost hose sets and purple plug leads, bailey dump valve, autometer carbon fibre voltmeter and boost gauges, strut brace etc...) but have decided to sell it as i want a new car (thinking type-r maybe?) and don't know whether to sell the car as it is and sell the spanking new parts seperately, or fit the parts and sell the car for more?
Or should i break the car?
How much do you think i'd get realistically for the car either with or without the bits fitted?
FYI:
I've just had the boot delocked to match the doors and the G5 clifford alarm put on with dual proxy sensors, tilt and motion sensors and black jax. Also just fitted a stealth shelf for a brand new set of infinity's and matching front components which i'm gonna leave in.
Also had a new pinnacle fitted as the old numbers had peeled off but the rev counter isn't working. Need to fit the solenoid for the boot also but that will be done before the car is sold.
Cheers,
Kim

Cheers Rhys, how much do you reckon i'd get?
Looked on the for sale section and it seems to vary quite alot.
What's a realistic price?

Yeah, i love my car. It took me so long to get one and i've spent an absolute fortune on it. It'll break my heart to let it go but it's time for a new car me thinks.
At christmas i promised Starbuck (my car ) i'd pay her a bit more attention so got me laptop and found loads of stuff i wanted and ordered them from simon at Woodford (top guy ). Then a couple of weeks ago decided to sell it so i've put off getting the bits fitted til i decided what to do with them.

My mates thinking of getting rid of his Type R and getting a scoob! Either that of getting the new CPL turbo on the CTR!
Nice cars, v-tec is mad, but for 200bhp i don't think they're all that!
Keep the RST!

Not a Scooby fan myself.
I just really want a new car that goes fast and doesn't NEED modification....but can be tweaked if i feel like it.

Hi hun, been really busy so haven't been about much. How are ya? Car looks cool.
How much do you think i'd get realistically for the S2 without the bits then?
....and no, i'm not going to get an EVO (read previous post about wanting a new car that goes fast )

Cheers matey.
Actually, there aren't that many Type-R's where i live and i would only get a black one as the silver one's look shite. The car's too ugly to be silver.
Seen a sweet Focus but again, they're more money.
I think i'm deffo gonna sell the new bits seperately as i know i'm not gonna be able to increase the price of the car by the amount i've spent on the new bits if i fit them.
So, sell the car as it is and become an ebay slut with the bits?

Lol....was wondering how long it would take you to find this thread!!!!
Probs gonna put it on Auto trader for £2500 but would take £2200.
Spent alot of money on my baby but i know as well as you do that i'll never get it back so the recent bits i've just bought to make it complete i'm gonna sell seperately on ebay as it's too late to send them back to the garage and i'm not putting £1300 worth of stuff on her just to sell it for an extra £300.
.........I bought purple custom made boost hoses and plug leads......

Keep the RST and get some more power you'll soon be showing your bootlid to most of the Subaru and Type R drivers.
Very satisfying watching their faces drop as a 16 year old Ford dispenses with their Jap crap

The speakers: a total of £250
Stealth shelf: The rent of Pauls arse for a day
Boot delocked and resprayed: £200
Full service
BRAND NEW FORD GEARBOX: £500
Brake hoses and master cylinder
Four brand new tyres: @ £80 each
Plus bits and bobs i can't even think of on the spot.
It's been to the garage nearly every weekend. Not cos of anything wrong, but just to do something else to it or put something else right.
It doesn't heat up as quickly as it used to either.
Oh, and we stopped the recurring problem of the petrol leak.

yeah depends on if you value your life!!!
I love the RS still, hence why there is £1300 worth of stuff waiting to go on. Still trying to convince kim to keep it I'm selling the cossie so may yet get to keep it yet

Back to original topic for a second, instead of buying a civic you could buy my clio 182. Its just a tad slower than the civic but not as common, also its only done 7k miles. Im needing a bigger "family" car.
Just a thought

Cheers for the thought mate but one step at a time....i have to try and get the courage up to sell my car first, then i'm going to leave it a few months and enjoy a bit of financial freedom, then i will start looking for a new car.
Good luck with the sale of the car mate.

Nope, door locks are still off.
If the alarm goes tits up there is a way but i'm not silly enough to broadcast it on here!
It's quite cool having owned her for nearly a year now as i've very quickly got used to power. It's like a drug isn't it. You get it, feel scared of the unknown for a little while, get used to it and then need more.
