Default Clutch ratchet on S2...... nightmare of a job ??

Got to change it on my grey car tomorrow heard its a coont of a job to do Any tips ???

Nah..... just take the seat out

Remember where the plastic parts, Rclips and washers go, or write it down so you can put it back together the right way or you will get loads of movement in the pedals.

had to do mine, it is alot easier with the seat out!, if not u wont be able to move your neck the following morning!, i replaced all the bushes in between the pedals while i was down there!!

dunno about the the escorts but when i did my mk2 xr2 i just took to whole pedal box out replaced the ratchet in about 5mins that way.

see if you can do the same on the escort

It's a bastard of a job!
The easiest way is to get a second hand pedal box from another escort, replace the ratchet with a new one while the box is out & then replace the whole box
I've done quite a few like that

Change the complete box! It wont take long (take the seat out first thou)

What for?? What do you mean what for? It's much easier to change the box than to fiddle about under the dash trying get all the washers, clips etc in place!

its actually piss easy ,the best tip i could give you is to take the seat out as jano has said,once u can actually get right under there it becomes much less of a hassle

pedal box out job is easiest/ quickest mate, if i were you i'd just take out the one you want to fix and change the ratchet to that pedal box rather then mess another rst up unless your braking the one your taking it off
