Cossie oil consumption?

fookin hell that means your putting about £30 quids worth of oil in everytime you fill up (assuming you buy good oil)
the first cossie in the worl to use more oil than petrol!
you must have a leak somewhere or somethign is very fooked..
ie rings or turbo but i would of thought you may have noticed 5 liutres of oil pouring out of your exhaust at some point during the 150 miles!

No bad smoke noticed, turbo is quite new, head came off recently (due to snapping cambelt) and pistons and bores were apparently okay...
Though I notice it's not a great deal of oil from Max-Min, it's deffo less than a litre, more like half a litre from Max-min - this sound right?? It's a 91 4b BTW.

Yeah I know, it's weird. Worse still is the oil light doesn't work so I keep _nearly_ running it dry
Today I was driving along thinking it sounded a bit tappety, then suddenly remembered what this usually means, and yep I checked and it's about 1/4 inch below Min doh

If it aint leakin, and it aint smoking too bad!
is it pissing a load out into the catch tank or anything??
speak to oilman on here for some silkolene stuff, everyone seems
to say thats the stuff to hate!

Gotta say when i use the cossie i gotta get back in the habit of checking the oil. As in my Derv i never do as it doesnt use any
