Changed my ISCV..... it's not helped. :( **PLEASE HELP!**
Well I spent my last bit of cash and bought a brand new iscv from Ford, fitted it to the car, thought all was gonna be well........ but it's not.
Started up great this morning, let me put it an gear fine, revved alright and seemed normal. Then once I'd set off it gave up on me at the lights. Then it gave up twice while queuing on the m-way.
I also noticed this morning for the first time that the actual bunny-hopping/jerking only seems to happen when the indicator is going. If I shut it off it's fine again, and it also seems to drop revs when I hold the footbrake down and then rises up a little again when I release it.
This seems pretty weird to me, and I don't have a clue what could be the problem or how to search for it. Please somebody help me out here... I've only had the damn thing about a week and I just want to enjoy it.

have ya checked the alt ????
as i changed most my sensors due to a mis fire and the rev counter cutting off ect and it was the alt and batt
give a list of things ya swopped and then discribe in full what happens when stationary ad ya nail the throttle and also when ya gentle with it
then whenn ya nail the car moving and change gear what happens and again when gentle ect

I've only swapped the iscv over...... Don't think it's the battery either as I can be crawling on the motorway with the stereo playing no probs but then when the indicator goes on it starts stuttering and jerking. When I'm flowing at 40mph upwards in 3rd or above, the car runs great, no problems.
When I start it up on a morning it either starts fine and lets me select every gear without dying or it just dies as soon as I put it in gear, moreso with reverse. This morning it started fine, but then when I got to some lights 2 mins later and slowed down to stop it died, no indicators or lights on at the time.
When it starts spluttering and I put my foot down it just doesn't seem to do anything. I can have my foot flat to the floor in first or 2nd and it just doesn't respond, it just carries on bunny hopping til it either gets over it, cuts out or I stop.
When it does cut out, if I try to start it back up quickly in gear so I can move off and not block the traffic, it just dies instantly and I have to put it back to neutral. Anytime that it does start to die it rights itself out if I slip it back into neutral.
Does that give any clearer a picture? I'm at my wits' end with the bloody thing!

Is it a zetec ?
Then check your oil.
You should be using 0w30
any thicker oil makes your valves stick etc....
And that creates a problem that looks much like the iscv problem.
