replacing brake pads
Think my pads need to be replaced
What does Ford recomend ?
I mean; what's their minimum thickness?
they have about 4 to 5mm thickness at the mo
ps speaking about my Fiesta here, not the cossie but that will make no difference i suppose

There is no real limit, as long as you still have friction material present.
Obviously, if you let them wear too thin, you will be running on metal (backplate) to metal (disc)
Would recommend to change anywhere between 2-3mm. I design brake pads and the central groove depth on our pads is set to 3mm above the metal backplate (as a form of indication when the brake is worn out)
