just downloaded soulseek, seems alot faster than winmx which is what i previously used

 

The secret to soulseek is to get people to add u to their buddies list, then u get priority over people who arnt. Also people with BIG amounts shared only usually share with people on their lists to avoid leeches.
Another tip is, when you do a search, the results in black should start straight away, the grey ones you will be queued

 

There should be a big box in the top right corner with a title saying user. Right click on it and choose add user

Really struggle these days though, hardly any of the downloads actually start despite being available + I seem to be getting loads of dodgy blank files. Not like the good old Napster days I am actually going to PAY for a download soon as I'm proper pissed off with trying to get it via the top sources!

 

i cant find the option to add a user

i must be a blind fool!!!
and i think i recieved a message from someone, where will i read it?

 

To add a user on soulseek right click in the big window with "user" in the title, then choose add user!
It usually appears above the list of chatrooms.
When you recieve a message it will have its own box at the top just under the search buttons etc

Shareaza, i find is the best at the mo, it does'nt fock my pc up like some others i have used

 

Tried a few and stuck with Bearshare!

Not had any problems yet and i've downloaded over 8 gig this month!!

Only problem i have got is working out wot all the features on photoshop 8 do!!
