Default off boost missfire

Right its come back again and anoying now!!!

Had it a fw weeks back but it stopped doing it, has had a slight hesistation for a while now when you first touch the throttle but wasnt really noticable but its gotten worse again. Basically its intermittent now, can be driving fine then suddenly it'll hold back really harsly almost like when u get boost cut and the revs will bounce then will be ok again and keep doing it intermitently while driving.

Ive changed the CPS for a new 1 and gapped it a while back, was wondering if the TPS could cause that?! gonna change the TPS and prob the other sensors for some spares ive got just wondered if anyone had any other ideas it could be?!?!

When you say the revs bounce is it just the rev gauge or the engine? If its just the rev needle check out the distributor cap, rotor, phase sensor.

Nah its not a 4x4 mate but cheers anyway!

Well when i say bounce it holds back harshly whn you press the throttle so its not just the gauge its the actual car doing it u can hear/feel it mate!!

Cap i replaced and wires on phose sensor seem ok althou admitedly not checked the gap.

Driven it today and theres still the slight heisitation when the throttle is pressed but hasnt held back/missed yet but give it time

Gonna replace the TPS anyway and see how she runs after

Well ive chaged the TPS over and will have to see if the miss-fire comes back.

Althou theres still a slight hesitation when you touch the throttle, any ideas what else could cause it?!

BTTT

Been alright since sat bar the hesitation still all be it very slight.

But again on the way home from the croydon meet it started missfireing badly again and got worse so cant be the TPS or crank sensor as their new.

Only thing i can think is it was raining this time and possibly the other times its messed about but then its rained other times and dont remember having probs

Anymore ideas?!?!! if not will prob have to start randomly replacing things

Also whats the phase sensor gap supposed 2 be forgotten as its been a while

Are you still running L6 ecu?

Could the plug to the cps be getting wet, clean it and fill it with grease..

Sorry to say and I know youve changed it, that sounds like a CPS problem.

Mine use to do exact same thing, It had crud in the connector...
