Daz, I owned a small turbo Es Cossie for about 10 months and the only problem I had with the car was a missfire on boost........Had to replace both coil packs - car was perfect after that.

I have had problems with almost everything on this car. Not the coil-packs or anything ignition.

Had the Escos for for nearly 6 years and it's got 96k on the clock (admittedly 66k of those have been pretty hard miles ).

Never had a problem with the coil packs but the wiring on the block connectors to them had broken down inside the plastic sleeve. At first it appeared to be the coilpacks, but on further investigation, the wire sleeve had cracked due to the heat under the cover ! (shame there is no way of venting the hot air from under the plastic cam cover as it does get a wee bit hot under there ! ). If you're having problems, slide the sleeve back on the block connectors and have a look at the wiring

Not having problems, just weighing up if they are worth using on a fairly big power YB with small turbo Escort head and a coil pack driver..

So is it worth using them or stick with a standard 2 in one type coil pack...
