Have posted in general forum rather than specific escort forum as I'm assuming these relays are common across a range of models and not specific to the escort. Does anyone know how the following special functions relays operate (timer delay, pulsed etc?) and how to bench test them?

1: L4 Heated W/Shield Relay - Grey. Part Number: 88AG 14512 AA
2: II Heat Rear Windshield Relay - Part Number: 88AG 18C641 AA

Also, does anyone have a model number for the fuel Injection relay for this model? (Pink in colour). The one on the loom I have has no cover on it so can't get a part number from it, internals are clearly badly corroded too so I know it's going to need replaced.

Finally, are there (reliable) 3rd party relays that can be bought to replace these or am I better trying to source genuine ford ones?

I've no long bought a black after market fuel pump relay of ebay , so far so good. Can't say how long it will last. You can test them with a multi meter. If you hear the pump prime then its working.
