Just been and filled the RS up with fuel for tomorrow (90.2p ) While I'm filling up an old fart pulls up at the pump next to me and starts to fill his Rover (yes he had the travel rug on the back shelf ). He's looking at the car shaking his head in disapproval. Then promptly starts telling me that it's drivers like me that kill people and shouldn't be allowed on the road.

I have found Old People to be the most arrogant drivers....they never let you out or give way and they always seem to get pissed off easier than a middle aged person when you dont let them out!

They just dont seem to care about other road users...especially while they are doing 15 in a 30 and 30 in a 50!

its just cos they have been around longer than most people... and have retired and paid off all their debts and mortgage etc...

so they think they are entitled to drive however they wish, and at WHATEVER speed they wish, in whatever LANE they wish...

they are dangerous and a risk to us competent road users...

i hope the government passes that law about OAPs handing their licenses back in...

Several points
Accident stats will prove you wrong its young racers like most of you guys that are more likely to have an accident.
They are drivin slow cos they are probably within the speed limit, impossible for the young.
You will reach there age one day & the young will be calling for your head !, but you will feel that you are totally capable of driving for many more years its the way life is. If an older driver has legal vision & is not disabled he has as much right on the road as you guys & DONT YOU FORGET IT.
Although this guys method was not very discreet, he probably aint far wrong.
Remember i was young once & on your side of the fence, thought all old drivers should be shot, at 60 im a far safer & better driver than i was at 20, when every journey was a race & every car in front had to be overtaken.

see it quite often and i cant help thinking, if you can perform simple tasks like this, hill starts etc, 3 point turns or whatever...

I have a chap down the road that walks his dog passed my house to the fields.. He always comments on the car when im outside.. little things like, too small number plate..its illegal he syas.. so I tell him, the only reason I have it ois so when I am speeding, less chance of the coppers seeing it Wind him up big time.. He just moans for the sake of moaning the old fart.. Always give it a littlre rev outside his house
