old and slow is the new way to go for me as i get older
just got this ,original 21k miles from 1.6 carbed automatic .it actually goes alright

Car looks great.
How is the gearbox? I’ve never driven an FWD auto from this era.

it was a first for me as well mate .it actually works well enough its just the spacing between gears .I think its

1st 0 mph to 20 mph
2nd 20mph to 40 mph
3rd 40 mph to the sky

i much prefer autos as standard anyway ,so i love it

i remember them being about at the time ,and they would have been the small panel van at the time also mate

cheers rich .you have to keep it above 20mph or it drops to first lol.its a blast from the past

it reminds me of the old granada 2.8 autos with out any power
