The chap is asking for reg number but not providing an et so guessing they are just a shipper of wheels and have no idea. Could anyone let me know what ET I should be looking for in a set of wheels for a saph? Thanks again.

From some research it looks like I'm looking for an offset of et35? Most of the wheels on eBay are et40 which I assume is a fwd offset?

Et40 on mine, running 4pot APs, and there's a fag paper clearance gap!

Not sure if the ET needs to go up or down to get more clearance of my brakes, cant remember.

But the wheels sit well on the car.

ET35 is the right offset for a Sapphire Cosworth. I have 215/40/17 tyres on mine, lowered 40mm with rolled arches.

From memory my original 4x4 shark tooths are et40.

I think 2wd & 4wd lattice alloys are also et40.

I've had a few sets, rs7 spokes are et38 and i needed 5mm spacers on the front to clear the calipers.

Some image splits worked out the same even though they were sold at et35 but i reckon they were actually et38.

When i had my comps they fitted perfectly with no spacers. They were et35.

Its a mine field.

How can a wheel be specifically for fwd??

The offset is the same as the ET, in this case ET40. As said, for a Sierra ET35 is ideal for 17” wheels. The standard 15” wheels are indeed ET40.

I would check with the seller what the ET is and if it suits a Sierra. ET35 is not an uncommon value. For tyre size I would use 215/40R17.

I love the design but worried after spending all that money that they won't fit properly

I was looking at bola wheels for my fiesta, did a bit of a search on google and came across a picture of a broken bola wheel and bad reviews about them,
Could happen to any wheels i suppose tho,
They do look good to and seem to be popular,

Are you looking at buying the wheels from a wheel specialist or a private seller? If it's from a wheel specialist all you need to do is give them all your vehicle details and they will know what wheels will fit without any problems. However if it's from a private seller and he wants the wheels collected provided it's not a massive journey from where you live go there and trial fit them. You will then be 100% certain they will fit.
