Definitely taking the piss. Not sure how much the super fuels are around here (Bridgwater, Somerset) but diesel and regular unleaded are 110p in Sainsburys.

yeah they probably hear you coming. In the garage thier probably going quick put the price up before he gets here... the digits on the board change as you roll up and its a special price just for you.

It's a local station but it is near the motorway.... The rest of their fuel seems to be as everywhere else... Its only the price of vpower petrol that's shot up.

I've read to many scare stories about people using tesco fuels that have accidentally been mixed with water or silicone and engines seizing to use tesco...
R tech (vw specialists) did a test on most of the popular fuels on 5th gear and found BP Ultimate to be crap (compared to V power)
Thats why I drive straight past the local BP and travel about 11-12 miles to get V Power.

BP ultimate is only a 98 octane campared to vpower 99....not sure how much of a difference it makes to your average car, I just assume the big name specialists will have better additives to keep the internals cleaner.
Ive only ever used tesco 99 in the cosworth, and thats not seized and blown up yet! And we know how a cosworth engine likes to blow up now and then
Will hopefully have 100 Ron to chose from soon
said before its all down to addictive packs, all bulk fuel comes from the same depot, Tesco dont have their own refineries, everyone picks up UKB or SU mogas then adds their own additive pack to the trailer unit.
You maybe in a shell petrol station in the south but chances are the bulk fuel came from Esso

You are spot on Dan, I live in Holbury not far from the Esso Refinery and every day see tankers from every Supermarket you can think of leaving with their loads which has all come from the same place!

Not sure if ethanols good or bad but I see in the small print Scotland isn't included in the ethanol free claim.... Up to 5% ethanol it said.
Must be bad though if Scotland gets it and the South of England doesn't because everyone knows the world revolves around the South of England
I'd assume the big boys of shell and BP do have their own refineries although thd only one I know of up here is ineos... Do they supply all the big boys ?
