Default Focus ST 225 not starting

Hey, I’m looking for some advice on an issue I have with a st225, I picked the car up the other day, drove it 10miles home, it drove really well and boosted fine, done what it was suppose to do, I parked it up on the drive, came to start it the next day to move it and it just turned over and over and over, and still is turning over and over, theres nothing coming up on the diagnostics reader, the battery is a bit crap I must admit, there’s new plugs in there and half a tank of fuel, so hopefully I can rule that out, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn’t the instrument cluster suffer from dry joints on these and if you bang the top of the dash they can start!! Maybe an old wife’s tale

If the cluster is faulty it won't even crank over as the cluster is part of immobiliser.

Have you checked the cam belt is actually turning?

cambelt is turning. It’s cranking fine, just no spark, hopefully got someone coming to look at it today.

Were they U codes do you know,? When you scan those cars they very often come up with U codes which are lack of comms between modules and don't often have any effect on the car.

hi mate, I sold the car as spares or repairs, the new owner said the head gasket had gone, it must have literally gone as I parked the car up from collecting it, I’ve heard that head gasket failure can cause these issues but, I’ve had ST’s with really bad head gaskets in the past and they still manage to start eventually. Hope you haven’t got an issues like this with yours.
