Default Bumper respray.

Hi all, i have a 2007 mk2 st in electric orange, the paint work is in excellent condition except for the front bumper. The lacquer is starting to lift not actually flaking yet. My question is has anyone in the West London area found a decent body shop that can take on this job, every place I've tried they put an extortionate price on it, and say they can't guarantee a perfect match, any help would be appreciated.

I had a brand new bumper for mine painted in Basingstoke for 300. Small family polish business there a smart repair agent. Very good painters and very professional. Probably a bit out your way

Craig, one place quoted Ł300 plus another Ł300 to blend the bumper with the wings, and another quote was Ł500 just the bumper.

I wouldn’t say Ł300 is too far out the way with it being the colour it is. I’d want them to be able to get the colour spot on though without blending into the wings

Exactly, the bumpers are a slightly different shade because they are obviously painted on plastic as come from the factory, so i would have thought blending the bumper to to match the wings was not necessary, i just need it done, anyone would think the paint came from outer space, it's a Ford colour for God's sake.

They always seem to be off colour like you say but now they should be able to get a pretty much spot on match.

A good paint sprayer should be able to do just the bumper without touching the wings, shop around or go on personal recommendations from someone you know. These days Ł300 does not seem overpriced.

Ford colour is probably half the problem lol. When I took mine in he came out with a ford panther black book. There was about 15 different shades lol. I just had my bumper and wing painted no blending
