does shock you a bit the first time you plant it, still remember the first time I done it after the engine was built & all the chip etc was put it, almost stuffed it into a central reservation as also caught a bit of camber in the road as well I learnt from that pmsl

Westy, ive been working on this engine for the last 3 years lol. Secrets lie in one of Karls heads, and matching the compression ratio and all the other bits together.

any info on spec,turbo,i/c etc as these torque figures are very high for a cvh with 205bhp would be very interested to see what spec this has to achieve this

It suggests using big boost, on an engine which cant really take the airflow. To have 250lb, and only make 205 bhp, must mean the power tails off very early.

Westy. with regard to the secrets, Karl has spent many hundreds of hours developing engine specs that work, so for me to start giving out this info to anyone would not be fair. I could tell u things like compression ratio etc etc, but what use would it be to u? U cant do the head yourself, so your going to have to get someone to do it. When they do, the rest of the engine will have to be specced to work with this, not with my head.

reading all this i really wanna get mine run in, get a fith inj on and a live mapping with Karl and see what it'll do used to run 223.6bhp with 230lb torque but without 5th and shite engine

The engine has been fully rebuilt from bottom to top by the same guy who built the engine for the cpt Scarlett who got 320 bhp from a 1600 in the series 1, accralite pistons, stge 3 or 4 head (can't remember ) .48 rear housing on the turbo, bayjoo stage 2 low comp chip, GRS I/C and plenty of other bits to keep it all running nice under there Want to go cossie management but will have to wait til next year

Yeah there is quite a bit of boost going through it but the guy who built it went for a more torquey engine rather than big bhp the main torque spike is very low down ie 3,500 - 4000 revs when the cam kicks in, still pulls hard all through the rev range but does tail off a bit towards top end the first time it went on the rollers when it came on song tried pulling it self out the rollers, never seen my pants fill so quickly all the graphs are indoors to confirm figures quoted

Westy i only did 1 run and blew the head gasket 3/4 track and still done a 15 flat so i'd have thought mid 14's
