Default Raceramps or wheel cribs

Evening folks,

Been looking at alternatives to axle stands and noticed in some of these American shows they use blocks under the vehicle's wheels.

Seems Raceramps do pairs in adjustable heights, ie a block that splits to give 2 finished levels.

Anybody using/used them before, also these timber cribs look ok.

Also out of interest do they help eliminate flat spots when leaving them standing or am I thinking of completely the wrong thing??

I think the race car ramps are good quality, I considered them before buying full workshop ramps.

What kind of hight are you after? I’ll use ramps or stands depending on the job.

i have some big ramps that can have the platforms jacked up for extra height, or I use a set of caravan levelling ramps that get the car high enough to get a jack under the subframe or servicing and taking the under tray off.

they are only cheap too, handle a decent amount of weight as well.

Just looking at the block's, ive got a vynal floor and even after putting timber squares under my axle stands the floor gets marked and indented.

These blocks look to give good clearance to get underneath etc and prevent the wheels/suspension hanging when lifted.
