Who is tic wood ? It is bonkers ain't it, 2500 hp I feel for the crankshaft lol
For what it is it's not expensive, but imagine the cost if anything broke on it, a 4.0 ams engine billet block.
And it runs on methanol bonkers car, 0-180 mph in 8 seconds is unimaginable

Here you go Karl don’t no what power this one is but at 100 psi boost and currently fastest in the world must be making some ponies

Gotta be over 3000 hp surely, what a monster
Fastest r33 gtr I can find is this one in the 7s, 5 speed sequential box

Yeah he’s deffo got some coin ,takes spare billet engine with him and swaps at track, fare play to him but gotta be over 3000 hp at 100 psi ,the speed and time don’t lie and even though it’s stripped will still be heavy old girl

The SVM car has been advertised for sale for some time now, but they're still out racing it in the meantime.
Seriously fast car, and not all stripped out etc too. Was a lot of gurning from other competitors at TOTB when it beat them all....despite it probabl;y being more of a road car than a lot of the other entries, and certainly for a lot of the runs, they also did them on road legal 888's. Whereas a lot of the other cars were on drag tyres.
Also very small market for such a car too.

It is an epic car mate, alot of money though and there 100% a pig to work on.
im wondering if it is 2500 hp now though as the r33 gtr I found running 7.7 at 181 mph was only 1300 hp

I dont think SVM have tried for a proper drag run at Pod etc ? They've largely been aiming for the top speed side of things.
And they're a lot heavier than an R33. And certainly a lot heavier than one trapping 181mph...which will undoubtedly be a drag car.

Dont recall it running on methanol at TOTB. Pretty sure it was E85 same as most other cars. Although I could be wrong.
And there is no comparison for a dedicated drag car at a drag strip, against even a very fast road car at an airfield etc.
But at TOTB, SVM trapped 171 in the 1/4...but more importantly they ran 218mph in 1/2 mile. Those were both 888 runs too, pretty much every other GTR was on drag tyres.
Although tyre suitability and choices is a pretty wide open topic.
Next comparisons, Jurgens GTR ran 211mph, and Rocky ran 200mph. Which are massive differences.
There's no doubt on that day, SVM were making a lot more power than anyone else, even if they were not getting it to the ground as effectively as the others over the 1/4.
Was it 2500 ? Probably not...but then for the day etc....maybe no point in trying for more power, if it was already a struggle getting it to the ground.

Do you remember what Jürgen ran in the 1/4 mile mph ?
I've just read the hulk has actually been broken for parts now, sad end for an awesome car if it's true :-(

Jurgens best was 8.83 at 177mph.
Michaels best was 9.39 at 158mph. SVM's best 60ft is around 0.2s off the other fast cars, and at 158mph trap on that run.....probably let off or had a missed gear or something.
But as said....most of the time they were not launching or trying for 1/4 times really. They were there for the high speed stuff.
They had actually thought it would be 1km or longer, but TOTB has been 1/2 mile now for a year or two. So it was only when I was chatting to them early on they discovered it was only 1/2 mile. That wasnt what they had hoped for or expected.
