New car private plate...

Should be buying a replacement Mercedes C63 tomorrow.... Can I assign my private plate right away online or do I have to wait until I get the new v5c document through the post?

I think you can do it online and put your plates on straight away. I'm pretty sure that's what I did when I changed car.

need to wait until the v5 is in your name first then it can be done online
