Default 66 Plate Transit Custom turbo blown

Coming home from work on Friday my turbo shat itself
It's a 66 plate with 30k on the clock.
Anyone had any issues with theirs like this?
It's the 2.0 170 hp limited spec.

Luckily it's still under the manufacturers warranty!

Never thought something like this would happen to a van that new.....

Have you had the oil change indication on after only low mileage?

No I have only had the van a few months.
I've covered around 5k miles with no previous signs the turbo was poorly.

I'm reading a lot of vans with that engine are having problems with corroded injectors.

Wishing I hadn't bought the thing now

Its possible the last owner ignored the injector problem which dilutes the oil, then the crappy oil ruined the turbo.

Surely if the oil was that diluted the big end would be knocking it's tits off?

Injectors seem to be a big problem atm on the 2.0’s

Got the van back yesterday.
New turbo and dpf under warranty. Seems to be going fine so far.....
If injectors are needed hopefully they fail soon so I can get them sorted under warranty!
