Wouldn’t bother me so long as the price is ok and the damage was repaired properly. The reality is if the same damage was done when the car was a little newer it would have been insurance repaired and not written off

I'd make sure you give it a bloody good inspection, if the tyre choice is an indicator of the repair standard and/or the owners maintenance levels, then it's not a great start. Who buys a nice car like that and puts utter crap tyres on it.

I didn’t notice the tyres, I turned down a car I viewed because I couldn’t understand why budget tyres would be fitted to a fairly expensive car

Go look at it. If it looks clean and straight runs and drives well and you like it why not. Could be a bargain

That rear door definitely looks like it doesn't line up. In the brief description it says 'no expense spared', so again as others have said why the shit tyres? Ofcourse it may just be that the dealer has put them on to try and make it more sellable. If that's the case I'd be looking through all the paperwork for receipts of previous tyres to see if they were any better. I'd also want to see a full report on the damage repair with photos.

They are Continental tyres, not some cheapo Korean ones.

The only pic I can make out shows Gallopro which are Jinyu budget tyres. It says brand new tyres all round so I wonder if the contis were shot and replaced or the other way around?

Wouldn’t put me off but I have two friend that repair stuff so would have them with me to inspect. Remember if you can tell it’s been damaged then the repair is not good enough.
Would definitely be a slider with the Gallpros

I wonder if that is the OLD tyres (as that is factory fit on that car) and then the seller has put the ditch finders on and taken a new pic?

Looks. Nice, I think the back doors look the same on both sides. As said previously needs decent tyres on it, my only issue would be the limited market on resale. These things sound the absolute nuts.

good luck with the search

https://www.uksalvage.info/lot/gANYD...wODM5OHEALg==/

It was sold via a salvage auction in April this year, pics in the above link, looks like the front passenger side has front suspension damage as well?

Also note the miles on the car, in the salvage pictures it was on 60,665, and it sold at auction on the 11th April this year.

Yet it passed its MOT on the 4th May at it was then on 53,160.

looks like someone has knocked some miles off, but kept the MOT mileage data looking vaugly believable.

Wow its definitely seen some action after looking at those pics. Combined with the fact it's been clocked I think we can probably all agree it's time to walk away.

Yep, i'd be inclined to agree, unless you could get the price down to somewhere where it was really really low risk to purchase (presuming the repairs have been done well), at 12-15K i'd still be tempted as long as you go into it with your eyes wide open and all the facts you can on the cars background.

At the end of the day you get what you pay for. There is always going to be a risk with this type of vehicle. It depends on how badly someone wants a particular model which would normally be way above their budget to take the chance.

damage can be repaired legitimately but you wouldn't want tto take the risk with the sort of people that knock the miles off …...what sort of figure would you put to repair that properly.....? £10000- ....? and was all complete within 2 weeks for the mot (with less miles on the clock)....?
that's a £23000-£25000 legitimate car..

I know someone that bought a brand new convertible recently....just under 100K. I think their price is almost comparable but slightly less than rs4's but I feel audis are pretty bland in comparison.id say rs6's are more comparible with an e63 than a c63 though. the coupes are stronger money than estates and saloons. £25K for a 13 plate is decent money.
ill probably wait now until ive saved enough to get a £25K dealer car for the little bit more peace of mind.
