Default 1955 Buick special

Car I've found for sale that's really tickling our fancy, got 2 bench seats so six seater.
1955 Buick special no door handles, locks or badges, keyless entry, 427 big block Chevy V8 390 hp same as a 1969 corvette, 3 speed auto 350 box.
All retrimmed interior, adjustable air suspension on rear and vintage air con fitted.
Looks very tidy haven't been to see it yet but seriously tempted just love the look of it

The engines a big plus will be a huge improvement over the original 265 ci V8 188 hp lol
And a Chevrolet zz572 crate motor should be close to a direct fit if required

My only concern is how 6 3 or 4 point seat belts could be fitted without ruining the interior trims

Lol did 188 move it, yes I can see that being a difficult fit with the belts and getting them to look right does it need them? Maybe look to the us to see how they do it

That would be great thanks
I'm just sat here thinking about the original power and it's even worse than we thought, 1955 would of been gross power rating, at current net power ratings the original 265 ci V8 would of been about 140 hp as we know it lol

Big block in it now only really about 300 hp
The zz572 crate motor is rated at 620 hp 650 lbft

I've been watching Roadkill lately (earlier one's I found have been better than the later one's)

Car looks lovely, I saw one done up like crazy taxi outside New York New York in Vegas when I was last over there.

I really need to get serious about putting a v8 in something, they are so cheap and easy to get here. Local breakers near my wifes has had LS engines in a few times for $100 plus tax

I've found this seat belt, I think it mounts all on the floor, retractor on the floor behind seat, then belt comes up behind seat over the seat then over the shoulder and down to a mounting point on one side with a buckle the other side.

Lap belts are a no go, so trying to find any way of having 3 point retractable seat belts floor mounted only

Sounds like my mates 1973 pontiac ventura. 4.1 litre straight six and according to online figures it puts out about 100bhp and I think thats being optimistic.

Currently sitting in his work while he waits to see if he's being deported

I was expecting it to make a good bit more power than that, a Chevy crate zz572 makes 620 hp, ideally I'd like a big block Chevy classic car so if I get bored can just drop in a zz572
