Default Replacement Key
Is it possible to get a replacement key made up via vin number?

This was given to a mates friend but unfortunately no key was present. He wants to save it but needs a key

If he removes the boot lock (as that's the easiest to remove) and takes it to a locksmith, they should be able to cut one.

Can a locksmith cut that key if yes then at what cost locksmith will make it?

Any mechanic can also cut one easily if you don't have any locksmith around.

Look on eBay and they have those tools to open ford locks on there, spin the parts of it around until it opens the lock iirc 🤦🏻‍♂️

edit: it’ll also give you your key code it seems

I don't think a local locksmith can be able to provide you key code for the ford door lock.
