I remember him bragging that it was as fast as a Cossie and showing off outside my mums hous pulling away in 2nd with wheelspin. It would have had something done for him to say it was fast. I remember the spoiler and it had different wheels.
His dad was a copper, he later sold it or swapped it for a 2.8i Capri

Only ever took a s1 out for a spin a couple of times, never got the chance to own one myself unfortunately and now with prices the way they are going that's no chance now

I would love an S1. A bloke up the road has a mint one, he has 42 classics tucked away....his Dad sold a big electrical company.

They are good cars, however if Ford had spent a little and fitted power steering it would be a whole lot better I've had a good few, but do prefer the rs 1600i

Poor car. I like to see cars like this restored but it might be too far gone.
I met a lad a few years back now and he was telling me that he had loads of fords in his back garden. Well he did but they all looked like this...fooked. lol.

Bit of a shame to see an S1 like this, can’t remember the last time I saw one on the road when it wasn’t on the way to a local Ford show..
