Need a wee bit of advice here folks

Fitted a front mount to the focus and ended up with no boost :-( Thought must be a boost leak so took it all apart again went through it all made sure all the pipe work was perfect and still no boost. Right ok put the standard intercooler back on and took it round the block and still nothing then remembered I hadn’t plugged back in the sensor on the standard cooler so plugged it in and it’s boosting again. So the question is can I remove the sensor from the standard intercooler and plum it into the new pipe work?
