Help with heating issues .. A3TDI BKD ENGINE
Hello all , im hoping some one can help with my heating problem, so my 2003 A3TDI 2.0LT 16V BKD engine blows cold air out, I understand how all the flap actuators work and have firstly
had my matrix out and cleaned it really well but just to be sure im waiting for a new one to arrive
both pipes to the matrix get hot and the matrix is hot
ive just put a new rad in yesterday as the old one leaked , this has made no difference and still blows cold air
ive put 2 new water sensors in , and thermostat
ive used a multi meter and and checked all fuses, including all the relays ..no issues
ive has 2 heater flaps climate positioning motors out and tested them with 12v and both worked
ive manually tried all positions with the flaps manually and still no heat
so can anyone tell me were about in the engine bay the Heater Control Valve is?

also ive taken out the Electric Matrix Element this sits behind the matrix and provides heat until the diesel heats up , does anyone know a test with the multi meter to see if its gone are not ive done a continuity test and it says there is no continuity .. looks like this

Audi forums are absolute rubbish
If your thinking of buying a Audi be very carefull.. do no buy the BKD .. 100% porous heads Audi know about this , Lumpy idle .. Audi also know about this so called bullet proof PD absolute rubbish , I asked my local garage whats the worst car for issues he said PD engines and Audi VW

what ya just said is what I thought but didn't want to here it , my reasons was ,, takes a long time to heat up , the top pipe from the rad seems to have little pressure even at 90dg... its only the cost as thats one job I wont do as it means taking all the cambelt side off..
ive also had a high squealing noise which is also associated with a leaking water pump but it does not over heat and will stay on 90dg
