I've just had my new Transit delivered about 3 weeks ago, top line price is just over £33,500 BUT I doubt anyone pays list, I wangled 27% off mine and I also get the VAT back.
I reckon you could get even more off if you'd be prepared to take one of the new old model stock that the dealers have loads of.

i think ford have seen the prices the germans charge for their vans and have decided to follow suit by making them "posh"

I can't believe the price of some of these, there is a fairly shoddy looking 6 year old camper converted vw van for sale near me, £35k. You could get a lot of bloody good holidays for that!

The price of commercial vehicles is by no means cheap, I bought a 64 plate 15 registered Transit Connect at the end of 2016 after my 55 plate one had a argument with a crash barrier and came off decisively worse. The replacement van I bought is a nice one, it had just over 30k on the clock, one previous owner, it has the double cab in it so there is five seats which can be removed if you require the load space, I bought it from a Ford dealer at £11,500 plus the vodka and tonic which slapped a further £2300 on top of the purchase price, the vat I claimed back and got most of it back.

a pal of mine at the time said “why didn’t you buy a M Sport one?” because the cheapest m sport connect at the time was 22 grand and I thought that is mega money for a van, also imo having a m sport one is like having another bling bling car, I’d be worried about leaving it anywhere for the fear of a: when you got back to it would it still be there and b: things being nicked off of it.

i do wish I had bought a big Transit now though, after the fun and games I had to get me and all my parts to RS combe this year lol, had to hire a sprinter lol

The thing is, you get to keep the van. Once you spend money on a normal holiday, it's gone!

Still think I would rather do without a van and holiday quite a lot on the other side of the world, rather than sleep in a van and shit in a bucket in skegness, different strokes for different folks though!

Quality bit of kit compared to the Ford. Suppose they are aimed at different markets, Ford more at the budget end.
