Default What exhaust Wrap

As per title,,I know some of you hate it,,not keen on it myself, but its a must.

Are there different materials, the one i previously used seemed ok,but when i stripped it off,had turned to glass. Is that normal ?

It doesn’t last long and is very hit and miss with wrapping....zircotec is the way to do it properly, expensive but done once and done right.

This stuff stuff is decent, its not itchy either when installing it.

I've done part of my over the gearbox manifold and my 3" down pipe on my Zetec turbo Escort.

The likes of the above is better...Titanium, Volcano, they give it all sorts of names. DEI is a good brand name

The cheap generic glassfibre type stuff is just horrible nasty shit and largely rubbish.

but only wrap where you really need to.

That is what I have used on my Sons Subaru Impreza tubular exhaust and it came with good stainless steel cable ties.

How have yous managed to tighten the cable ties as they never seem to stay that tight unless you need a proper tool for them?
