Default MK1 Focus Quick Shift

Looking for a quick shift kit to fit a MK1 Focus 2.0 petrol/1.8 diesel gear lever. Been doing some searching and all I have really found is these ones on eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Focu...IAAOSwfZ1WbB68

Has anyone tried one of these? From the picture, I don't see how it would even fit.

Are there any other options out there?

I had a cheap ebay one on my focus like in the link at the top (it still works) and I had no issues in the 8 plus years I had it fitted. Loads of people at the time said it would snap etc, cheap crap, yet it never did. I used it at the pod and on 300+ mile weekend commutes on some good A roads and it was always spot on.

thanks mate. Thats good to hear! might well go for one of those then. Shame it doesn’t come with gear knob but hey ho. Thanks again

ps/ did it reduce the shift throw decently? Was it a more positive ‘short shift’ !!

It made a considerable difference i think. I can't remember what gear knob I used. I'd have to look at my old pics. It was probably the original zetec one 😂

Worth noting that the one above doesn't fit all cars. I ordered one and it didn't fit the MK1 Focus lever I had.

ok thanks. Hmm, how can there be different levers for MTX boxes? surely they all need the same shift levers to operate the box?
A focus mk1 shifter looks identical to an RS focus mk1 shifter apart from the gearknob is billet and looks much nicer! Mine is a plain old focus one...

but its an RS focus mk1 box. Been having some issues getting the extended shift cable setup working perfectly (mid engined kit car). but short shifter is much needed as well I think.
