Its easy, just take your time.

Dont pull on the wires to unplug the original sensor. Hold it by the connector
otherwise you will break the loom or make it intermittent.

Needs to be gapped correctly also! .8mm is the correct setting

So what would the symptoms be if ya did break one of the wires by pulling on them to unplug the sensor

Not that I would be that stupid unless lets say I was very hungover at some really early time on a sturday morning

Dumb question now! Have located the sensor - what is the gap that needs to be set?
Is it the gap between the sensor and the lobes on the crank pulley?

The gap on this one is more like 8mm than 0.8

Am I just being a plank?

yes Phil, the gap between the sensor end face and the surface of the 4 target pegs on the pulley. (check on all 4 because they are likely to be slightly different, set the sensor position to 0.8mm max )

Seriously though - you could get your hand between the sensor and the pulley!

Having looked at it - I think the oil dripping off it cant be helping either
