Best 16inch dia tyre for drag racing
I'm going to Classic Ford at Santa Pod , I want to see if I can better my quarter time as my 60ft was not good last time . At the moment I'm using Toyo proxes 205x 45 x16 . I cant afford to go much bigger in the tread width or profile .

Proper drag type tyres can be very expensive....so what is it you want ?
Best tyre for drag racing ? best road legal tyre ? Best tyre that will fit within those constraints with no excess ?

Oddly.....these were for sale on FB a few days ago...your size constraints are a little odd for a drag specific tyre, but these would be a next best thing sorta deal

But do factor in that launching hard with proper tyres at Santa Pod...can have a habit of breaking things

Thanks Stevie , I'm restricted for room to fit a tyre with more sidewall ive got standard arches . Last time I tried a 14inch 225 x 50 Toyo 888 , these were just to big rubbing the arches , tried to get a drag slick to fit the 14inch dia wheel but the only one is to big on the overall dia at 26 inch , there is no drag radials available on 14inch dia .

You'll get drag tyres in many sizes...but 14" is not one, even for competition type tyres 14 would be odd.
13" yes, 15" yes, 16" etc etc
Even that M&H is a bit of odd size, I'd defo be giving the guy a call, as to buy a pair of most tyres from the US ends up bloody expensive
And most drag tyre tyres will aim for diameter of 26" and above as some class racing there just goes by tyre diameter so 26", 28" etc are just common sizes.
