Default New addition being collected tomorrow

After many months of deciding what car to get for Abit more sensible weekend car I’ve landed on an st220. itbwas between these and the focus st3.

mondeo ticked all the boxes for me. Won this one on eBay by accident really never expected to get it for the price I have. Just hoping it doesn’t turn out to be a lemon 😩

I never understand why people get so obsessed about tax either. It doesn't make that much difference over the course of a year. Anyway, on an 03 plate, it will only be £300.

I ran one of these for a year, put nearly 30k miles on it and it was great. Think it just had tyres, discs and pads and an ABS sensor in that time. Pretty good considering it was on 110k when I got it. A bit thirsty, but one of the best cars I've ever had. Not the quickest thing by modern standards, but a pretty nice place to be, sounds good and really wraps around you. Great car to hustle down a country road.

Really not arsed about the tax I pay monthly as said it’s the lower tax bracket anyway.

Heard nothing but good reviews on them bar running costs are slightly high but really not bothered

Cars in that tax bracket are about £25 quid a month to tax.

Hardly wallet busting, especially when you consider is costs about £80 A time to fill up these days

Just got rid of mine in Oct last year, owned and ran as a daily for 4yrs, longest i have had a car, imo a great all rounder and still feels special.

Other than general maintenance and i took a big bill around the 70K mark, (bought at 57K, sold at 101K) it was a reliable car, only abandoning me once with a snapped accelerator cable, fixed the next day.

That looks looked after, and standard exhaust etc, not messed with. Check over on MondeoSTOC for hints and tips, plenty good info on these

Well picked the car up this morning and I’m over the moon with it. What a cracking car they really are. Best all round car I’ve been in or driven. Only regret is I didn’t have one sooner!
