Default Transit egr pipe repair??

I have a 2004 transit 2.0 duratorq 84ps

it has low mileage and drives very well, the only thing that kills it is the exhaust blow that sounds like a screamer pipe on a 900bhp drag car...

a new pipe from ford is £150. It goes from the front chain end, all the way across and around the back to the exhaust side. It has a big hole in it...

any idea how I can repair it?? It’s far to thin to weld.

I was thinking about blanking the egr pipe at both ends (so the pipe is not used at all) and having it mapped out of the ecu but the remap man said it has a rare ecu and he can’t do it?

I don’t care care if it has a working egr valve or not, I just want to get rid of the blow and and have no loss of power and no engine management light!

any advice?? 🤷🏻*♂️

Where the blow is, is it straight? Thinking you could cut and sleeve it fairly easily if so

Brazing used to be a good repair on thin metal "in the good old days"

Silver solder (ask a fridge man) is also good for thin pipes.

Blank both ends off and throw it in the bin
