I've just purchased a my 3rd mk2 focus ST but this is the only one thats had keyless entry. It has the little black square on the boot and on the door handles but how is it supposed to work? Is it if I have my keys near the car the car will just open? If this is the case it doesn't appear tube working.
Thanks.
Thanks.
That's correct when it range it will unlock, how are you unlocking it if this isn't happening?
You need some decent aftermarket security, at the minimum the OBD port should be disabled, otherwise you will find your car has a tendency to go missing!

Same as mine.
Just keep your key in your pocket & the doors and boot will open if you are within range. This is listed in the handbook, but the door wont open if you are stood at the bonnet & futher than 1 meter away (I think).
For starting the car, just use the push button & keep your key in your pocket.
Locking the car, can either use the key fob remote or double press on the black square on the door handle (single press also works but no deadlock). The indicators will flash & you will hear it lock, as per normal. The car WILL NOT lock just by walking away from it.
