I've heard people use a brake servo from a Mondeo but I can't remember what year Mondeo the servo comes off.

Are you using different flesh brake pipes like briaded pipes??

Make sure the bar that runs along the bulkhead isn’t flexing mate. Also the servo itself can move. There are bracing kits out there I believe.

http://autospecialists.co.uk/RS-Turb...oduct-870.html

Not used one myself as i left the original in place and just made/added a simple additional brace but might be worth a punt for 25 quid

Why has nobody come up with a hydraulic system instead of that poxy bar set up.

least the lhd escorts had better brakes.

There must be enough room to fit a single master cylinder on drivers side and a slave to operate the servo.?🤔

I don't find the brakes on mine too bad to be honest...but at the same time, I am upgrading my setup - Focus RS Mk1 servo and MC, and ST170 front discs and calipers...rear will eventually go discs and will have a bias valve

The FRS setup does require quite a bit of work to fit, lots of cutting up the mounts etc but the car I drove with the setup on (had 4 pot AP Racing fronts), could stop on a nail head!

some of the early ones had a mastercylinder with no servo in its proper place .would just need a bigger one probably
