Not really much information out there at the minute, but intrigued to see if Garrett have a unit to match or outperform the EFR range.

Interesting stuff, I can only think though surely you can only re-invent the wheel so to speak so many times...

I am waiting for when we get 48v brushless motors spinning them so we have full boost all the time and just close the wastegate when we want the engine to see boost. 500bhp from tickover if wanted?

Looks like a well engineered and thought out turbo. Will be interested to see when someone fits one how it performs in comparison to current types.

What’s new on these compared to the older units?

Anything major?

I've been looking at buying a BW EFR but might hold out to see some feedback on this new G25-660 first.
Anyone know if you still need to change the manifold like you do using a EFR ?

I am sure that if it is to offer an improvement it will be twin scroll and need a manifold

Oh yes, forgot that. I actually thought the 2wd manifold was twin scroll but didn't realise any of the actual turbos fitted fully utilised it. The BW looks very different on the snail part.

The info I have been given on the G25 version is the hp flow is a bit generous but work very well but these have only just come out so will be interesting to how they progress.
Garrett needed a proper update of the gt range as those and the gtx was poor comparison to today’s market leaders.
