Binacle warning
Hi peeps, first post so be gentle. Just bought a nice 170, but it has no manuals. So I was wondering what the light next to the oil guages is. It has gone from amber to red, which I'm guessing isn't good. It has just had a complete new clutch, if that has any bearing. Any info gratefully recieved

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Post a pic of the light. Does it look like a snowflake?
Could be just the frost warning if it's changed from orange to red.

No, it doesn't, that's what's throwing me, without the manual for reference. It looks more like a clutch. As you look at the 2 oil guages, it is on the left & it's tiny. A happy snap will have to wait as I am away now till Friday, hence why I thought I would those that know

look near the hubs - there are connectors for the ice sensor or whatever they are called...i reckon one hasnt been reconnected...i think there are just two at the front....it will be more near the chassis leg so kind of behind the wheel arch liner...square shaped sensor with a weird connector on it not ur usual ford connector

lights
The light is the low external temperature warning lights, it has two modes amber means the outside temp is at 4 or below if the temp drops further to zero it changes to red as a ice warning thats all nothing to worry about
