They were reconned and tweaked standard turbos . As soon as he said that I knew they would never achieve 200mph . Also, if they don't change the gearing or hike the rev limit, it won't do above the 175mph "book" speed, as this speed is achived on the limiter (7k) in fifth. I know, as I've maxed one out on the A47 .

Also FUCKING TIFF NEEDELL AND WASTEGATE CHATTER AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH .

FFS NO dumpvalve makes that noise!

Only reason cars with Blitz/HKS etc dumpers make that noise sometimes is the spring rate is so strong the vavle dont really open, giving the car chatter....

S4s are just 2.2 litres charge-cooled turbos, the GTs are V8 are low pressure non-intercooled twin (tiny) turboed 3.5 litres with 75bhp more - big difference .

 

What difference? Either way, you'd have been flat out

Ish. The Sunbeam uses the 912 engine, whereas in turbocharged format it is then called the 910, but these are all derivatives of the original 907 engine.
