He's a snidey, arrogant, bad loser who can't even be bothered to live in the UK and pay the same taxes as the fans that idolise him as a "British" driver.

The more he wins, the more it seems to wind some people up. Whatever you think of him, he's a fucking ace driver, so you have to respect that.

To be honest, if I was in his position, I probably wouldn't live in this country either, so I can't hold that again him

Apart from which, he isn't world champion until the season ends. As it stands today he can't be beaten in points, but he can still be stripped of points or even disqualified from the championship if he does something really loony in the remaining races. Until the chequered flag has dropped on the final race, and Charlie Whiting confirms there are no outstanding matters, Rosberg remains the reigning world champion.

Nice work fartblood! He's British and he's the world champion barring a couple of races. How about you show a bit of patriotism and get behind the most successful British F1 driver to date. He's got a talent that cannot be denied, he's scripted and annoying yes. BUT HES BRITISH!!!
He's certainly more interesting than the outgoing champion

Nice to see the old British trend of building them up and knocking them down again continues.

It was the same with Mansell, Hill and Foggy

Oh it certainly does! Lewis is far and away the best driver out there although Max is fast developing in to a superb talent. Get a good car under that boy next year along with another good ferrari under vettel and we could have a right good battle. Max however does come across as a bit boring whereas Lewis does have character.
We'll done Lewis. Thoroughly deserved

Thats a pretty retarded comment. Show me a brit f1 driver of recent times who lives in the UK year round? The vast majority lived in monaco.

So i guess they are all bastards for not paying taxes??

Hes only just turned 20 and has had a lot of knock backs in his short career so far so plenty of time for him to settle down and come out of his shell a bit.

Fair play to him, he is a top F1 Champ, but I will be hoping that next season some of the other teams can get their cars up to a higher spec so the racing will be closer.

.
I don't care wether he's black white pink it yellow or from a council house or Buckingham palace he does have talent so has 99% of the grid but he's isn't a people's champion I don't think he connects with people as much as he thinks he does .. I don't like his 3 year old like tantrums . I lost pace as a star in UK eyes for snubbing the London fan fair for the British gp .. seen him twice and person he seems as scripted as on tv just not sincere at all . I loved Schumacher and people said he as arrogant but no he's confidence was it so get that just don't get Hamilton and don't care for him to much . Now Jenson one title yes but he was a great British Champion confident but didn't take himself to seriously

Got to agree with you there Jay. When Jenson retired I was truly sad. He is a true gent and wasn't scared of saying what needed to be said.
Pretty sure he lives in Monaco too, how dare he!!!!

Lewis is a cracking driver. He just wants to win everytime he is on track and to me if he isnt 1st everytime he always seems a bit disappointed.

its funny how after his first win everyone loved him and the more he wins the more folk hate him.
ive always thought he comes across as quite a decent chap but anyone whos raging about something (possibly after a bad race) wont really be in the right frame of mind for jovial chit chat.
I for one like to see him win and I for one wouldn't be living here if I could afford to live in Monaco.

Nobody who earns the kind of money he does pays as much tax as people think they should do, or 40%

You pay an accountant to sort out the best legal way of paying as little as possible.

Anyone who works in contract positions on a day rate rather than in permanent positions paying PAYE tax also does this, just not on the same scale

Whatever your view on It, you can't knock his ability to drive a car round a circuit.

Yes he's driven the best car for a few years now but he's always had a team mate in the same machinery and generally he's been faster, especially on qualifying laps.

What would be great from a spectators point of view is an absolutely top notch team mate. Max V would probably be my choice. Clearly the Merc f1 team would never put themselves in that position though as it just wouldn't work

Can't knock his talent, on paper he is the most successful driver with a British passport though

Still think he's a bit of an arrogant cunt mind, plastic and boring

He has his fans, and always turns the water off when he's in the shower lathering up so he's not all bad

no one in the construction industry pays the tax that people think they should. if its not illegal so its a total non story but at least itll deflect attention away from all the limp wristed apology monkeys currently apologising and resigning for once putting their hand on their secretaries knee 30 years ago

the internet especially is a minefield for this. the vague anonymous accusations that others jump onto without any proof can easily destroy people .if theres a genuine accusation make it to the police so they can investigate but anonymity for the accused should be the norm until proven guilty.
false accusations on the internet should be punishable by prison.
