anyone clued up on corsa car prices on here
anyone clued up on car prices on here im buying a corsa for runabout seen a 2010 corsa 1.2 limited edition its done around 95k and full service history, very good condition 8 months mot. but its a cat c. hes looking for £1900 for car. is that a good or bad price do you think.
also seen a standard 1.4 sxi plenty of mot full service history 2007 with 77k on clock. good condtion just small shopping trolly dent on rear arch £1k
i do like the limited edition corsa due to panoramic roof, 17" alloys and body kit but its 1k more expensive.
out of the two which one would you choose is the limited edition worth the extra to buy just wanted peoples opinions
pics just to show each car.

yeah even through it had full service history i did think thats very high mileage for a 2010 even the other corsa is 3 years older and done 18000 less in mileage. was put off by mileage and being a cat c as my insurers said they might ask for a roadworthy structural test on the car even if it currently has mot which is a couple hundred quid forgot the name of the test.
the white corsa is a better looking car but taking the mileage and it be accident repaired. i think everything into account think the 1k 1.4 corsa is a snap at 1k with full service history. not been in any accidents prior, and good runner.
i only want a cheap runabout for couple years while my car is being restored. was not too keen on the 1.2l engine & ive not seen a cheaper 1.4 sxi with mot and full service cheaper on the net.

looking around this 1.2l seems very low mileage for a 2008 33k but its on a private plate. but would a private plate hide if its eva been in any previous accidents?

the mileage for the year of car seems too good to be true :-/

I haven't driven either on motorways just local test drives after doing work/servicing on them, the 1.2 I remember thinking something was wrong with it it was that slow lol but when I drove the 1.4 I had to check what engine size it was as I thought I had missed something on the service on the 1.2 that made it so slow lol. My step dad has the 1.4 Corsa and he done a 240 miles round trip the other day not long after buying it and he said it was great on the motorway and he's coming from a diesel Astra
thanks for the advice gcfcos really appreciate it.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
the corsa limiteds don't have a panoramic roof bud, just painted gloss black. they are slow! but the 1.4 was only a couple hp more iirc.

oh and hear it start from cold. listen out for a noisy timing chain. not a difficult job but just a messy one and a couple hundred quid to put a new chain kit on it. cheers

Slower than a glacier. They're two a penny, I'd be reluctant to go over £1700 for a concours example with the age and mileage described. I know a chap picked up a newer (12 plate), lower mileage example (pretty sure he got the 1.2) for £1700 so id use that as my obvious yardstick.
The 1.4 has a little more power, but is rough and lumpy as my ex wife's cooking.
They're not nice cars TBH. All the turgid driving experience of the long lived previous generation, but with little of the robust simplicity that made the earlier model a worthy, if boring, commute scoot.
