Default Best fuel pressure regulator Sytec, fuelab, other?

I current have a problem with my Sytec fuel regulator, it is making a very loud screaming sound. It is apparent that most believe that this is a airlock, but I cannot locate the problem. The car otherwise runs fine except for the noise which is definitely coming from the pressure regulator and delivers constant pressure.

I have Jenvey ITBs, a 044 pump, swirl pot etc.

It seems to be the common opinion that that Sytec fuel regulators are not very good.

Would it be worth upgrading to a Fuelab FPR, or would this add little value, would this not be so temperamental?

I quite like the below:

What are your views?

Mark Shead told me to fit a Jenvey so I went for that. I think MK can make the billet housing for it with different ends etc.

I have a Sytec on mine. I Would spend a little more next time and try something else. It's the adjustable reg version that that I have. It is nice enough and works ok (I have a stack fuel pressure gauge to monitor) It is cheaper end of the market and kinda feels like it. Its good and does what it says on the tin but not quite top notch.

If your not confident in it definitely replace with something else mate.

Aeromotive , very nice product , buy them from Webster race engineering I think there called around £120 I paid years ago . Do not buy ebay items unless it's from a well know uk supplier as a lot are very poor quality copies that look identical

Cheers paul
