That's was what I was meaning mate the golf and Audi where just an example. You tend to buy the classic car that you have childhood memories of, for people in there twenties now, that is probably going to be more modern hot hatches or evos ect.

Like I wouldn't be interested in a historic car with a crank handle and wire spoke wheels, I bet most owners of them will be older, maybe not as old as the car but old enough to remember seeing similar examples on the road.

Is it?

Evidence?

All i see is higher and higher prices? (for the good ones...ie original, unmolested, provenance)

I dont think there is any hard and fast rules as to who likes what generation of cars. Plenty of young people own older classic cars and have you seen how much Mk1 and Mk2 Lotus Cortinas, Mk 1 Escort twin cams, RS2000 and i800s, Capris etc are fetching now. 60s,70s and 80s cars will always have a following imo. You will see plenty of them at Rally day at Castle Combe in September.

They are quite common, parked up at a classic show today opposite this original rs500, on origianl paint, just over 10000miles so less than the auction one, but used to go to a few shows every year.

Was spotless, gotta be the best example of one!

The dealer you are talking about sells Masserati and Ferrari cars from their showroom in Lyndhurst. Bit out of my price range!!
